FURTHER ROUTE EXPANSION
Earlier this year, FlySafair said it would not likely embark on further route expansion for the remainder of the year.
The airline’s Kirby Gordon said that 2024 would be a year of reconsolidation for the airline.
However, FlySafair has surprised travellers with several new routes since that announcement.

KRUGER ROUTES
The airline has in fact seen two domestic routes being launched during the course of 2024.
It started up flights between Cape Town and the Kruger in April.
And then in August, it launched flights between Johannesburg and the Kruger.
FLYSAFAIR NEW CAPE TOWN – WINDHOEK ROUTE
Now FlySafair is indeed launching new cross-border flights with this new route between Cape Town and Windhoek.
This new service is the airline’s first foray into Namibia.
FLYSAFAIR REGIONAL ROUTES
This new route offering comes after South Africa’s International Air Services Council last year awarded FlySafair the right to operate services between Johannesburg and various neighbouring countries.
FlySafair launched flights to 4 destinations in neighbouring SADC countries late last year: Harare, Victoria Falls, Livingstone and Maputo.
The carrier has since pared back its services into Livingstone and Maputo. It operates Livingstone services twice a week (from the initial four) and Maputo has been suspended.
