According to a media release sent to trade partners, the airline will grow its route network by adding various new destinations.

Within Botswana, the airline will offer services between Gaborone and Orapa.
Other new services are for routings linking Botswana with destinations in neighboring countries.

New routes from Kasane will include Cape Town and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in South Africa; and Windhoek in Namibia.
Also, new services from Maun will include Cape Town and Windhoek.
Furthermore, new routes from the capital Gaborone will include Durban (in South Africa) and Windhoek. Â Â
REINSTATED AIR BOTSWANA ROUTES

THREE NEW EMBRAER AIRCRAFT
The airline recently announced that it had ordered three new aircraft.
The three aircraft are all Embraer jets, which are becoming increasingly popular in Southern Africa.
These aircraft are well suited to operating many of the routes on the continent.
Air Botswana will not be disposing of its ATR aircraft. These turboprop aircraft have formed the base of its fleet for a number of years.
The carrier will keep the aircraft in its fleet, to serve as a backup when emergencies or issues crop up.
AIR BOTSWANA ROUTE NETWORK BENEFITS TOURISM
The addition of the three new aircraft as well as the expansion of the Air Botswana route network stands to benefit Botswana’s tourism sector.
The country indeed has a significant tourist economy. Visitors from all over the world arrive in Botswana to experience its pristine natural landscape.
Highlights include visits to the Okavango Delta, Chobe River and the Kalahari Desert.
