Air France is introducing tasteful cardboard boxes with handheld edibles including sandwiches and cakes for business class passengers on short domestic flights.

AIR FRANCE SUSTAINABILITY ENHANCEMENT
The move is definitely one that goes a long way in enhancing the sustainability of flights as well as mitigating the impact of flying on the environment.
The boxes will help Air France to achieve its environmental targets, as waste can now be sorted onboard.
In addition, the cardboard boxes do away with the need for heavy cutlery and crockery, thus making the aircraft lighter.
This helps the airline to improve its sustainability and lower its carbon footprint.
SUSTAINABLE INFLIGHT MENU
There is something to be said for the French. They know how to do sophistication and elegance.
Designed by Chef François Adamski from Air France’s short-haul catering provider, Servair, the meal boxes will offer breakfast foods when served before 10.00.
If served after this time, sandwiches will have different fillings.
BUSINESS CLASS CATERING
Breakfast sandwiches will feature fillings such as smoked salmon and cream cheese with dill on white bread, accompanied by a traditional French breakfast pastry.
In the afternoon sandwiches will have fillings including smoked paprika chicken and tarragon vegetables on granary bread.
Air France will still serve a full selection of drinks on its short-haul flights.
However, the airline says wine and Champagne will be served in real glassware.

New food boxes look good. Leave it up to the Europeans…….they know food.
Thank you. I agree. Especially the French.
