AIR FRANCE: DESSERTS BY YANN COUVREUR

Thanks to this latest gourmet collaboration, the airline continues to showcase the art of French pastry savoir-faire around the world.

Couvreur has crafted five exclusive sweet delicacies for Air France’s Business customers.

The chef’s gourmet delights including crunchy biscuit, ganache and intense dark chocolate mousse dessert, and crunchy biscuit, almond mousse and pear confit illustrate his commitment to working with simple, seasonal products.

Inspired by the very essence of French pastries – authentic flavours and quality ingredients, Yann Couvreur shares his ambition to “showcase French products around the world and invite Air France passengers to enjoy his original, gourmet creations”.

These desserts, progressively introduced on board over the next six months, are now on the menu on board all Air France long-haul flights on departure from Paris.

In the long-haul Business cabin, since 2023, Air France has been entrusting its dessert menu to a renowned French pastry chef, offering a final, exquisite touch to a high-flying culinary experience.

CHEF YANN COUVREUR

Born in Paris, chef Yann Couvreur began his career in pastry-making with a modest internship near his family’s business. His dedication quickly led him to prestigious establishments such as the Trianon Palace in Versailles, where his talent was recognized by Michelin-starred chef Alain Dutournier.

From there, he refined his craft at the Carré des Feuillants, the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, and Eden Rock in St. Barthélemy, where he developed his first signature line of desserts.

In 2015, Couvreur took the bold step of opening his own pastry shop in Paris’ Goncourt neighbourhood, where he grew up. His approach is simple – creating traditional pastries with a refined twist using seasonal, high-quality ingredients, while staying true to his roots.

The success of this first boutique paved the way for additional locations, and today, Yann Couvreur Pâtisserie boasts nearly a dozen boutiques across Paris.

Internationally, he has expanded his expertise to Dubai, Riyadh, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Miami, where he has launched two establishments, including the Yann Couvreur Café, an innovative concept combining a café and restaurant in the artistic Wynwood neighbourhood.

The expansion of his pastry business is a testament to the chef’s passion and commitment to excellence. In October 2025, Yann Couvreur joined the Air France team of chefs and is signing the exclusive desserts served on board the airline’s long-haul Business cabin.

As an ambassador for French fine dining, the company welcomes Couvreur to its prestigious team of chefs to continue to offer customers a gourmet experience on board.
