Independent and privately owned regional airline, Airlink will launch double daily flights between Cape Town and Lanseria International Airport from 4 December 2026.

This will indeed be the full- service-airline’s first foray into operating from Johannesburg’s Lanseria Airport.
Airlink’s Lanseria – Cape Town Flights
Privately-owned Lanseria Airport is popular with travellers from Johannesburg’s northern suburbs as well as Pretoria as it is easily reachable.
Currently, low-cost carrier Flysafair is the airline operating most scheduled flights out of Lanseria.
Moreover, Airlink’s new service will provide a convenient point-to-point connection for people travelling to and from Johannesburg who want to avoid the congestion of O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Lanseria, which is a world-class modern facility, is ideally located to serve communities and businesses on the western side of Gauteng and in the North West province.
“Travel options on this route have been limited, and our intention is to give passengers a comfortable and enjoyable alternative for travelling between the two regions, while also complementing our existing services to O.R. Tambo,” said Airlink CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht.
Flight Schedule
From 4 December 2026, Airlink flights between Cape Town (CPT) and Lanseria (HLA) will operate on these days and at these times:

This new route will also be Airlink’s first scheduled domestic service to Lanseria. It will be operated by an Embraer E190 aircraft, which accommodates 98 passengers, all seated at window and aisle seats – there are no middle seats on Airlink flights.
