This year’s edition of Aviation Africa Summit and Exhibition 2024 will feature an Insight Theatre.
The Insight Theatre series of special presentations and panels will indeed make its first appearance at the Aviation AFRICA event this year.
The event brings together experts from leading organisations from across Africa and further afield.
INSIGHT THEATRE
The Insight Theatre adds another dimension to the wide-ranging content available to the over 1 500 delegates heading to the event.
The bespoke new offering will run alongside the high-level summit that is a cornerstone feature of Aviation Africa.
According to Alan Peaford, Aviation AFRICA Summit Chair, “With the launch of the Insight Theatre we are delighted to welcome more speakers and to offer several panel sessions giving the ability to tackle an increased number of critical and interesting subjects.”
VARIOUS PANELS DISCUSS AVIATION MATTERS
There will also be several panels on subjects as diverse as aviation sustainability, the future workforce, ground handling and safety.
Confirmed speakers include Simon Knechtli, Executive Director Aerospace, WTW; David Le Roux, Key Accounts Manager, PilotInsure; Will Jones, Regional Sales Manager, Satcom Direct; and Gavin Kiggen, Vice president ExecuJet Africa & President –Aircraft Sales and Acquisitions, Luxaviation Group.
“There are so many vital topics that need to be addressed in the African air transport market the need for the Insight Theatre to accompany the Summit has become clear, and we have been thrilled with the take-up from organisations wanting to air their story at Aviation AFRICA,” Peaford said.
AVIATION AFRICA INSIGHT THEATRE SESSIONS
The Insight Theatre sessions are open to all delegates and exhibition hall visitors.
“They will take place in the Insight Theatre located on the exhibition floor and offer a fantastic and intimate opportunity for interaction between presenters and delegates,” said Mark Brown, CEO of Times Aerospace Events.
LARGEST NUMBER OF ATTENDEES
The Aviation AFRICA Summit & Exhibition is indeed regarded as the continent’s leading annual meeting place for the continent’s commercial air transport industry.
According to Brown of Times Aerospace Events, which organises the event, “With around 1 500 delegates expected to attend Aviation AFRICA in South Africa the event will be our largest ever.”
AVIATION AFRICA 2024 SUMMIT IN SOUTH AFRICA
The event is officially hosted by the Government of South Africa and the Ministry of Transport and led by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA).
“This is the first time the event has taken place in South Africa, and it comes at an important time as the country recovers and rebuilds from the turbulence of the past few years,” Brown said.
