Zimbabwe’s value carrier Fastjet will add more flights between Bulawayo and Johannesburg.
Privately owned Zimbabwean airline, Fastjet, will increase its flights between Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport and Bulawayo’s Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport.
THIRD BULAWAYO FREQUENCY
Fastjet will introduce a third frequency between Johannesburg and Bulawayo on 1 November.
The airline will offer the added services three days a week. It already operates double daily flights between Johannesburg and Bulawayo.
In October last year Fastjet started operating double daily flights between Johannesburg and Bulawayo.
FASTJET BULAWAYO FLIGHT SCHEDULE
Flights will depart Johannesburg at 11:10 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving in Bulawayo at 12:30.
From Bulawayo, flights will depart at 13:00, also on the same days, arriving in Johannesburg at 14:20.
Flights are operated with an Embraer Regional Jet, the E145.

BUSINESS AND LEISURE TRAVEL
The spokesperson for Fastjet Zimbabwe, Nunurai Ndawana, said that the additional flights aim to support business and leisure trips between the two cities.
Bulawayo is an important industrial hub in the landlocked country. In addition, it offers a handful of noteworthy tourist attractions.
“As Zimbabwe’s industrial hub, ensuring improved connectivity to Bulawayo is our foremost priority. We continue to engage the market to establish more ways to better serve our customers,” Ndawana said.
FASTJET FACILITATES TOURISM
These flights between Johannesburg and Bulawayo would also benefit travellers wishing to explore tourist attractions in and around Bulawayo.
This includes two World Heritage sites which are located just outside of Bulawayo. Matopos National Park and Zimbabwe’s second largest stone-built monument, the Khami Ruins.
FASTJET: A VALUE CARRIER
Often considered to be a low-cost carrier, Fastjest is anything but low-cost.
It offers superb inflight service, excellent passenger handling and reliability. Thus, the airline is definitely not a budget carrier.
Last year even Sir Richard Branson enjoyed a Fastjet flight to Zimbabwe.
