Fastjet Zimbabwe has operated its first flight on the Harare – Lusaka route, connecting these cities with three weekly services.

Flights between Harare and Lusaka will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Fastjet utilises a 50-seater Embraer ERJ145 aircraft for this service.
This aircraft type is known to provide the versatility required to build a sustainable regional network with the right size capacity – while offering customers comfortable seating with generous legroom.
FASTJET HARARE LUSAKA ROUTE
In fact, the introduction of Fastjet’s flights between Harare and Lusaka is a significant development for the region.
It enables the growth of business and creates opportunities to promote tourism, trade and foreign direct investments in Zambia.
The arrival of Fastjet’s inaugural flight – on 9 April – was witnessed by Zambia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, the Honourable Frank Tayali.
“The Fastjet flights into Lusaka from Harare today, are simply consolidating this relationship further,” Tayali said.
Donahue Cortes, Fastjet Zimbabwe’s Business CEO and Country Head, remarked, “Aviation is a catalyst for economic development. The Harare – Lusaka route will be no different. It will unlock new opportunities for investment, trade, and collaboration, as well as strengthen tourism and connectivity between the two countries given their cultural synergies”.
EXPANDING ROUTE NETWORK
Privately-owned Fastjet operates scheduled flights within Zimbabwe.
It flies between Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. In addition, Fastjet flies between these cities and Johannesburg, South Africa.
The airline also operates flights between Victoria Falls and the Kruger National Park (South Africa).
Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Joshua Sacco, said, “In Zimbabwe, Fastjet flies to Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. Before today, the airline had flights to Johannesburg and Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga in South Africa, and today, Lusaka, Zambia, is being added to this growing network”.
