FlyNamibia’s flights on two seasonal routes, supporting tourism to Botswana and Zimbabwe, have commenced.

Windhoek-based FlyNamibia provides both domestic and regional services.
The carrier offers flights to Cape Town, South Africa (through a partnership with Airlink).
However, FlyNamibia also operates two regional routes during the winter months – when tourism flows increase between Namibia and Botswana and Zimbabwe.
WINDHOEK – MAUN
On 2 March the airline resumed seasonal services between Windhoek and Maun.
It offers the service three times a week.
Flights operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
This service will continue until the end of the winter season.
WINDHOEK – VICTORIA FALLS
On 1 April FlyNamibia also launched seasonal services between Windhoek and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
This service runs three times a week.
Flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

FLYNAMIBIA’S SEASONAL ROUTES
Both of these services are beneficial for tourists and leisure travellers who wish to visit iconic tourist destinations outside of Namibia on their trips to Southern Africa.
A visit to Namibia is often paired with the Okavango Delta in Botswana and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
These destinations are ideally visited during the Southern Hemisphere’s winter months.
Namibia has seen a significant rise in tourism arrivals since the Covid-19 pandemic, when it promptly began to welcome international visitors back into the country.
However, a decision to introduce visa restrictions for nations that do not offer visa-free entry to its nationals may have an impact on Namibia’s tourism flows.
From 1 April 2025, Namibia introduced visa requirements for nationals from 33 countries. Visas may be obtained on arrival or online.
Many of these nationals also require visas to enter Zimbabwe and Zambia but a KAZA Univisa helps to reduce costs.
The KAZA Univisa is a multiple-entry visa that covers Zambia and Zimbabwe for 30 days a year. It also allows day trips to Botswana through Kazungula border.
