Long haul budget carrier Norse Atlantic will offer more flights between London Gatwick and Cape Town for the 2025/2026 season.
NORSE ATLANTIC LONDON CAPE TOWN FLIGHTS
The airline launched a seasonal service on the London Gatwick Cape Town route in October 2024.
The route was operated three times a week, with a widebody aircraft – a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Due to the success of the route, Norse Atlantic will resume the seasonal service in 2025. However, it will offer more flights each week and extend the period of operation.
In doing so, the carrier aims to accommodate leisure and business travellers on the route.
This seasonal service recommences in October 2025 and will continue through to the end of May 2026.
The first flight from London Gatwick Airport is set to depart on 2 October 2025, with the last departure from Cape Town on 31 May 2026.
Therefore, Norse has extended the duration of this seasonal service from six to eight months.
Moreover, the carrier will offer up to 6 weekly flights on the route during the height of the season.
For October Norse will operate five rotations each week. During November it will offer six services to Cape Town each week.
Then, in December, January, February and March four weekly flights will be offered.
In April, Norse Atlantic Airways will operate three flights a week on the route.
Then, in May it will operate five rotations between London Gatwick and Cape Town each week.
DOUBLE DAILIES IN OCTOBER
In October the carrier will operate double daily flights between London Gatwick and Cape Town on two days of the week. This is due to airport slot restrictions.
These flights will operate on Fridays and Sundays. The return flight to London will be an overnight flight from Cape Town.
