Air Arabia to launch Addis Ababa flights

Emirati low-cost carrier Air Arabia will soon start up flights between Sharjah and Addis Ababa.

The Sharjah-based airline which launched operations in October 2003, will add Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa to its route schedule from 30 January 2025.

The airline will offer three weekly rotations between Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The route will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft.

AIR ARABIA ADDIS ABABA FLIGHT SCHEDULE

Sharjah (SHJ) to Addis Ababa (ADD):

Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

G9 738 Departs SHJ at 21.25 and arrives in ADD at 00.40 (the following day).

Block time is 4 hours and 15 minutes for this flight.

Addis Ababa (ADD) to Sharjah (SHJ):

Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

G9 739 Departs ADD at 01.30 and arrives in SHJ 06.40 (the same day).

Block time is 4 hours and 10 minutes for this flight.

AIR ARABIA FLIGHTS

The airline operates scheduled services to 170 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, and Europe.

It flies to 22 countries from its Sharjah base in the United Arab Emirates, 28 destinations in 9 countries from Casablanca, Fez, Nador, and Tangier, 11 destinations in 8 countries from Ras Al Khaimah, and 6 destinations in 4 countries from Alexandria.

Air Arabia’s main base is Sharjah International Airport.

There are also operating bases in Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi as well as in Alexandria and Casablanca.
