Air Botswana has taken delivery of another wet-leased ERJ145 aircraft from Westair in Namibia.

The aircraft, fondly known as the Runway Legend, will enable Air Botswana to expand connectivity.
In fact, this is the second aircraft Air Botswana has on a wet-lease with Westair.
The first ERJ145 aircraft on wet-lease to Air Botswana, was acquired by Westair in October last year.
SECOND ERJ145 AIRCRAFT FOR AIR BOTSWANA
The 50 seater Embraer jet with an impressive range enables Air Botswana to add additional flights and to expand its flight schedule.
The aircraft will operate services for Air Botswana, for a two-year period.
Last year Air Botswana announced significant route expansion.
However, it was forced to delay the launch of some of these services.
The additional aircraft will enable Air Botswana to implement more of its route expansion plans.
WET-LEASED AIRCRAFT
The latest wet-leased aircraft is part of a two-year strategic agreement between Air Botswana and Westair.
This ERJ145 was acquired by Westair in September last year. Prior to that, the aircraft was operated by Airfast Indonesia.
This jet entered service in 2008, operating flights in China.
Air Botswana previously operated a couple of ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft. It has been trying to dispose of these aircraft.
The airline has since acquired newer Embraer jets. The Embraer E170 and E175 are now in active service with Air Botswana.
