The world’s best airlines have been ranked by Airline Ratings, in the annual Airline Excellence Awards.

This team issues awards in aviation each year. It ranks various areas in the sector, in a number of categories.

The AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Awards, judged by five editors with over 100 years of industry experience, combines major safety and government audits, with 12 key criteria that include: fleet age, passenger reviews, profitability, safety rating, product rating, innovation and forward fleet orders.
AIRLINE RATINGS’ TOP AIRLINES 2024
Coming in at the top of the list in 2024, is Qatar Airways.
The airline was named the airline of the year, due to superior service and innovation.
“In our objective analysis, Qatar Airways came out number one in many key areas, although it was a very close scoring for the top five,” Geoffrey Thomas, editor-in-chief at AirlineRatings.com
The win positions Qatar Airways ahead of former winner Air New Zealand, which scooped victory in 2023.
“Qatar Airways won due to very positive passenger reviews across its business class and economy cabins.” Thomas said.
TOP TEN PREMIUM AIRLINES
Coming in behind Qatar Airways was Korean Air. The top five include Cathay Pacific Airways, Air New Zealand and Emirates Airlines.
