South Africa’s independent carrier, Airlink, will operate codeshare flights on even more routes.
Two major international carriers flying into South Africa have expanded their codeshare route offerings with Airlink.
Air France and Emirates will grow their reach for passengers, with Airlink flights.
This is good news for South Africa, which will undoubtedly see more visitors spread across the country.
It facilitates tourism spread as far as regional tourism is concerned as international travellers can conveniently reach many of Africa’s prime tourist spots with Air France and Emirates Airlines.
Emirates Airlines has expanded its codeshare agreement with Airlink, to include additional routes from 1 August. These routes include:
Between Johannesburg and :
Biera (Mozambique)
Livingstone (Zambia)
Ndola (Zambia)
This will improve flight connectivity for passengers travelling to destinations in Southern Africa via the Emirates and Airlink route networks.
In addition, Air France will also expand its codeshare flights with Airlink.
At the start of the Northern Hemisphere winter season 2025/2026 Air France will codeshare on various routes from Cape Town.
Between Cape Town and:
Hoedspruit (South Africa)
Skukuza (South Africa)
Upington (South Africa)
Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
Maun (Botswana)
Flights will gradually be phased in from 26 October 2025.
These services will facilitate tourism flows between Cape Town and various prime tourist attraction in Southern Africa.
