TAAG Angola Airlines is set to commence scheduled flights between its hub in Luanda and Abidjan, Ivory Coast, next month.
The West African country has two capitals. Abidjan is known as its economic capital while Yamoussoukro remains Cote D’Ivoire’s political hub.
TAAG ANGOLA AIRLINES TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS TO ABIDJAN
Services will begin on April 6. The new route represents growth for the Angolan carrier, which is improving intra-African connectivity with this network expansion.
Angola’s flag carrier will operate the route three times a week. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Flights will depart Luanda at 11.10, arriving in Abidjan at 14.05. For the return, flights are set to depart Abidjan at 15.05, arriving in Luanda at 19.50
Services will be operated using an Airbus A220-300, featuring business and economy class cabins.
Business Class offers 12 seats while Economy Class is fitted with 125 seats.

The narrow-body aircraft is well suited for the operation of this route, offering comfort for passengers and cost efficiency for the airline.
This next generation aircraft offers reduced fuel burn and therefore lower carbon emissions. Originally developed as the Bombardier C Series, the Airbus A220 was designed as a clean-sheet aircraft, built from the ground up, with modern technology.
TAAG took delivery of its first Airbus A220 in September 2024. This aircraft is key to the airline’s strategic plan to modernise its fleet as well as to enhance its regional network.
