The Johannesburg-based low-cost carrier has relaunched an initiative to help educational institutions attend events around South Africa.

“FlySafair’s School Booster is back and we’re excited at another opportunity to uplift the schools which are shaping SA’s future stars.” The airline said.

EXPANSION OF FLYSAFAIR SCHOOL BOOSTER CAMPAIGN

FlySafair will be giving away ten return domestic flight tickets to ten schools.

Last year the airline also ran this campaign. However, it awarded School Booster tickets to just three schools.

This year ten schools will each receive ten tickets.

“And this year, we’re making it bigger and better than before, by giving away 10 return flights to 10 deserving schools.” FlySafair said.

ENABLING TRAVEL FOR STUDENTS

This enables school students to travel to destinations served in FlySafair’s domestic route network.

“Whether it’s to help fly learners for cultural, sporting or academic activities, or even a school tour, you could soon be soaring to success.” The airline said.

Last year’s winners included:

  • Benjamin Pine Primary School in KwaZulu Natal
  • Potchefstroom Central School in North West
  • ESCA Wanderers in Gauteng

In fact, these schools demonstrated exceptional dedication to their students and communities.

FlySafair was honoured to provide these schools with the opportunity to attend events and activities in other parts of South Africa.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The airline is indeed a fan of everything South African – from education to sport, and culture.

From supporting local artists by displaying their artwork in its aircraft cabins to hosting events inspiring women to choose careers in aviation, FlySafair takes its social responsibility seriously.

Many schools in South Africa are both underfunded and under-resourced, and FlySafair’s offer stands to benefit such schools and their students.

To stand a chance of being awarded these free tickets, entries must be made before 27 March 2025.

Applicants must explain how these flight tickets will benefit their schools.
