Privately-owned Proflight Zambia has added another Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft to its fleet.

Last month, the aircraft was ferried over from Canada to Zambia.
It will be used by Proflight Zambia to grow its flight schedule.
ENABLING ROUTE EXPANSION
The addition of this aircraft will enable Proflight Zambia to expand its regional network by introducing more routes.
It also affords the carrier a degree of enhanced reliability in its flight operations.
Proflight’s Maintenance Manager, Eric Simukonde, the flight engineer on the ferry flight said, “We are thrilled to welcome the CRJ-200 to our growing fleet.”
CRJ-200 AIRCRAFT IN PROFLIGHT ZAMBIA FLEET
Proflight’s current fleet now boasts five CRJ aircraft: four passenger jets and a freighter jet.
In September, the airline took delivery of its latest addition, a CRJ-200 jet – registered as 9J-PFE.
“Ten years ago, we took a bold step by introducing the CRJ jet, and today we are proud of what we have accomplished,” said Proflight Chairman and Director Administration, Chitalu Kabalika.

AIRCRAFT OF CHOICE FOR PROFLIGHT ZAMBIA: CRJ-200
The aircraft is indeed well suited to the independently owned airline’s operations, enabling the carrier to operate efficiently and sustainably.
The model has in fact added value for Proflight Zambia by being right-sized for its network.
“Our CRJ fleet is a key part of our success, and we are excited to see where the next decade will take us.” Kabalika said.
THE RIGHT AIRCRAFT
Proflight Zambia’s fleet of CRJ-200 jets, known for their performance and fuel efficiency, has allowed the airline to maintain a competitive edge in regional aviation.
“The CRJ-200 is an excellent aircraft for regional operations, particularly in terms of fuel efficiency and passenger capacity. It is preferred for its comfort, reliability, and suitability for regional connectivity,” Simukonde added
The CRJ-200 is equipped to carry 50 passengers. It cruises at a speed of 682 km per hour and flies at altitudes of 41,000 feet.
Thus, making the CRJ-200 ideal for short to medium-haul flights.
