The offer will allow passengers to access complimentary and ultra-fast Wi-Fi services on some Cape Town flights.

This will be free of charge to all passengers on this route, where flights are operated by Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777.

From 1 June the airline will introduce a Boeing 777 on its Doha-Cape Town route.

The B777 will operate one of its daily services to Cape Town each week.

The other flights will be operated with Airbus A350 aircraft, which do not yet offer Starlink connectivity.

Qatar Airways serves Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg with up to 28 weekly flights.

QATAR AIRWAYS STARLINK CONNECTIVITY TO CAPE TOWN

This offer comes as a result of the Starlink roll-out on the airline’s Boeing 777 fleet nears completion.

The airline has now started fitting its Airbus A350 fleet with Starlink wi-fi connectivity.

The carrier says that it will indeed be the first airline to bring Starlink wi-fi to this aircraft type.

Starlink is in fact the fastest inflight wi-fi service.

Qatar Airways also says it will be the first Middle East carrier to offer fully complimentary Starlink connectivity on flights.

The carrier operates the largest Starlink-equipped fleet of Boeing 777s in the world.
