SACAA enters agreement with GCAA in UAE

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) has entered a strategic agreement with its counterpart, the GCAA, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

South Africa’s Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) and the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) signed a significant technical cooperation agreement on 12 February.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025. This event was recently held in Abu Dhabi from 10 to 12 February.

“We believe that this cooperation will not only enhance the safety and security of our civil aviation landscape but also contribute positively to the growth and development of the aviation sector as a whole,” SACAA said.

The agreement aims to strengthen civil aviation safety, security, skills exchange, and environmental sustainability in both nations.

Furthermore, this collaboration marks a pivotal step in an ongoing commitment to enhancing aviation standards and practices.
