The opening of this facility expands the Emirates World footprint to three stores in Africa and nine globally.

The new Cairo facility becomes the airline’s third store in Africa, after Nairobi (Kenya) and Casablanca (Morocco). Both were opened during November 2024.

The Emirates World experience store concept elevates customer experience by showcasing Emirates’ product, its smart technologies and providing expert travel consulting services.

The launch event, attended by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside senior officials, including Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, and Amr Kady, CEO of Egypt Tourism Authority also marks a milestone for Emirates.

FOUR DECADE-LONG COMMITMENT

The opening of this new facility highlights Emirates’ commitment to Egypt, a destination it has served since 1986.

“This year marks our fourth decade of operations. Egypt was one of the first five destinations that we launched to at the very beginning of our operations, and we are proud to further enhance our offering for customers with the inauguration of Emirates World in Cairo,” said Kazim.

Emirates operates four daily flights to Cairo and has flown over 10.6 million passengers to the city, since launching flights to Egypt.

TTW reports that Emirates also supports local employment, with over 920 Egyptian nationals serving as cabin crew members.

Spanning 332 square meters, Emirates World Cairo brings the airline’s iconic product and services even closer to customers.

With its open-plan lounge-like environment, the concept store is reminiscent of the airline’s signature inflight look and feel and is complemented by the full-size showcasing of the iconic Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge experience and the First Class suite display.

Equipped with nine customer service counters, the store provides seamless assistance with travel bookings, itinerary planning, and ticketing.

To enhance visitor engagement, the space includes interactive features such as a selfie mirror with dynamic destination-themed backgrounds and self-service kiosks, ensuring a more efficient and immersive experience.

MORE EMIRATES WORLD EXPERIENCE STORES TO COME

And it does not stop there. Emirates intends to open more of these stores on the African continent.

This is to enable passengers to experience the airline’s offering before they even board an Emirates flight.

Kazim added, “We will continue to roll out Emirates World concept stores in Africa and across our network to connect more deeply with our customers at more touchpoints on the ground.”
