Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer Neste has launched an emissions reduction solution, Neste Impact.
This assists businesses in reducing the carbon footprint of their air travel and transport activities.
So, the initiative will benefit airlines that sign up for Neste Impact and businesses aiming to achieve their sustainability targets.
SAF PRODUCER NESTE
Neste is the world’s leading producer of sustainable fuels and renewable feedstock solutions.
The company’s latest initiative enables businesses to purchase Neste’s My Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
This will be supplied to partner airlines, where it is used to replace fossil fuels.

SAF PRODUCER’S BOOK AND CLAIM APPROACH
The initiative operates along the lines of the “book and claim” approach.
In aviation, book and claim is a solution that enables airlines to purchase SAF without being geographically connected to a supply site, and to transfer these sustainability attributes to their corporate partners.
As a result, targeted emissions reductions are achieved by replacing fossil-based jet fuel with a corresponding amount of SAF purchased from Neste.
Regional Gateway reports that Neste Impact is aligned with the Aviation Guidance of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Therefore, SAF producer Neste ensures that SAF is delivered and used specifically in the aviation sector, replacing fossil-based jet fuel.
