South African Airways will increase the frequency of its flights to Perth in Australia.
South African Airways relaunched flights between Johannesburg and Perth in Western Australia in April this year.
The much-awaited resumption of this direct service came after a lengthy hiatus of nearly four years on this important route.
CURRENT SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS PERTH FLIGHT SCHEDULE
The airline currently offers three weekly rotations between Johannesburg and Perth.
Departures are offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Flights between Perth and Johannesburg are operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Mondays.
Flights are operated with an Airbus A340-300 seating 253 passengers in Business and Economy classes.

FOUR TO FIVE WEEKLY PERTH FLIGHTS
From 8 December 2024, SAA will increase the frequency of its nonstop Johannesburg-Perth service to four flights per week, with a further increase to five flights per week from 7 January 2025.
From 7 December flights will depart Johannesburg at 20:35 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and arrive in Perth at 12:10 the following day. An additional flight will depart Johannesburg on Mondays from 6 January 2025, according to Atta.
From 8 December flights will depart Perth at 23:55 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays and arrive in Johannesburg at 05:10 the following day. An additional flight will depart Perth on Tuesdays from 7 January 2025.
SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS GROWS FLEET
Since relaunching flights in September 2021, South African Airways has grown its fleet from six to sixteen aircraft.
It has also grown its route network from six to fifteen routes.
“We’ve reopened 11 outstations, including Mauritius, Perth, and São Paulo. Employment has grown from 500 to around 1,200 staff, with 140 pilots now on board.” SAA’s Interim CEO John Lamola said.
RISING DEMAND FOR PERTH FLIGHTS
South African Airways is increasing its flight schedule on this route due to increased demand for flights between Perth and Johannesburg.
The increased airlift will provide more opportunities for travellers in both destinations.
