TAAG Angola Airlines has announced that it has resumed flights between Luanda and Lisbon due to the restoration of energy capacity at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon.

An inexplicable power outage hit Spain and Portugal on Monday 28 April, knocking out traffic lights, causing congestion and disrupting airport operations and other means of transport.
The two countries were left reeling, and the authorities declared a state of emergency.
Millions were affected as homes, offices, airports and transport networks came to a standstill.
Major cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, and Lisbon, were impacted by the severe power outage.

Airlines operating flights to airports across the Iberian peninsula were affected by the electrical disruption.
Passengers were stranded as air services came to a halt on 28 April.
However, services are getting back on track.
Essential services have now been normalized, and operational safety is assured by local authorities.
Passengers affected by this disruption will be gradually accommodated on the next TAAG services, while the company’s customer service touchpoints will ensure regular communication with passengers.
