Virgin Atlantic has been named the top airline in Europe in the Airline Passenger Experience Association Awards (APEX).

The UK-based carrier made the number one position for offering the best overall airline service in Europe.
Moreover, Virgin Atlantic has been ranked the only 5-star airline in Europe – for its customer services.
Furthermore, this is not the first time Virgin Atlantic has won the award.
It is the fourth year in a row that Virgin Atlantic has earned this title in the annual APEX awards.

OTHER REGIONAL (EUROPEAN) APEX AWARD WINNERS
Other winning airlines in the Europe region include KLM – which was named the airline with the Cabin Services in Europe.
Turkish Airlines won two awards, Best Entertainment as well as Best Food & Beverages in the region.
Icelandair ranked as the airline with the best Wi-Fi in Europe.
AIRLINE PASSENGER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATION (APEX)
The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) unveiled the regional airline winners of the 2024 APEX Best Airline Awards.
This was during the FTE & APEX Awards Ceremony at the FTE EMEA Conference in Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday, 12 June.
These regional awards, voted on by millions of passengers across the globe, honour airlines from Africa, Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East for exceptional passenger experiences in Cabin Service, Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Seat Comfort, and Wi-Fi.
“The APEX Best Airline Awards, voted on independently by over one million passenger trips via TripIt, are considered a shining beacon of excellence within the industry. This year’s winners have demonstrated unwavering dedication by transforming passenger feedback into a reimagined passenger experience that exceeds expectations,” said APEX GCEO Dr. Joe Leader.
RATING SCALES
Through the association’s partnership with TripIt from Concur, the world’s highest-rated travel organizing app, passengers anonymously rate airlines using a five-star scale and provide ratings in five subcategories: cabin service, food and beverage, seat comfort, entertainment, and Wi-Fi.
Therefore, winning an award in the APEX Best Airline Awards is an esteemed honour.
This is because the awards are based 100% on neutral, third-party passenger feedback and input collected from nearly 600 airlines worldwide.
