Air Seychelles is considering operating extra seasonal flights on its Mahe Johannesburg route.

Air Seychelles operates two scheduled flights each week between its hub in Mahe, and Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport.
Flights operate on Fridays and Sundays, using an Airbus A320neo aircraft with 12 seats in business class and 156 in economy class.
ADDITIONAL FLIGHTS TO INCREASE TOURISM
Chief Commercial Officer of Air Seychelles, Charles Johnson, told Travel News that passengers from South Africa were among the Seychelles’ top ten tourism arrivals for the past two years.
As South Africa is one of the Seychelles’ top tourism source countries, Air Seychelles is looking at offering additional seasonal flights between the two countries, to enable more passengers to reach the island archipelago from Johannesburg.
Johnson also said the airline was looking to introduce some new destinations next year.

Air Seychelles will celebrate 33 years of flying to South Africa in December 2025.
In fact, the airline currently operates two weekly rotations on the route.

COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Air Seychelles has also attained both IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO)Â and IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA)Â certifications.
This significant milestone, accredited by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in January 2025, reinforces the airline’s commitment to safety and operational excellence.
As an IATA member since 2006, Air Seychelles’s ISAGO registration is valid until August 2026, and the IOSA accreditation until January 2027.
This is a selling point for the airline – as passengers can rest assured that they are in good hands.
