PEMBA ISLAND

The island is a Tanzanian island in the Indian Ocean, part of the Zanzibar Archipelago.

Pemba is known for its fertile soil, clove production, coral reefs, and diverse birdlife.

In previous years, the island was seldom visited due to inaccessibility and a reputation for political violence.

Pemba is also home to several dive sites, with steep drop-offs, untouched coral, and very abundant marine life.
