Airlink opens up points pooling for Skybucks members

South Africa’s full-service airline, Airlink, now allows its Skybucks loyalty programme members to pool their points.

This is beneficial for Skybucks members who are now able to obtain flight tickets with points that have been gifted by other members.

POOLING OF AIRLINK SKYBUCKS POINTS

Airlink has launched family pooling. This enables groups of up to eight to pool and share their Skybucks points when travelling.

Designated Skybucks members can create a pool whereby seven additional contributors can earn rewards towards the member’s account and then use the pooled points to pay for flight tickets.

AIRLINK SKYBUCKS OFFER

The innovative initiative will benefit Skybucks members who do not fly as frequently as others.

It enables more frequent flyers to assist less frequent flyers in claiming complimentary flight tickets or other deals that the Skybucks programme offers members.

AIRLINK LOYALTY PROGRAMME

Since its launch in March 2023, Skybucks has offered exclusive air travel rewards. Ultimately, this turns every journey into an opportunity to earn and spend on Airlink flights.

Skybucks is a bespoke frequent-flyer rewards programme that is straightforward and easy to understand.

It delivers exactly what is promised, and, above all, satisfies customers’ needs.

SKYBUCKS ANNIVERSARY

Last month, Airlink celebrated Skybucks’ first anniversary.

The groundbreaking frequent-flyer programme was designed to redefine customers’ travel experiences across Africa.

In its first year, nearly 100 000 customers joined the programme. Currently, around 80% of Skybucks members are South Africans. The balance consists of members from the various countries Airlink serves through its comprehensive route network.

Airlink was previously associated with South African Airways (SAA) until it began operating independently – when SAA underwent business rescue proceedings in 2020.

Airlink’s Frequent Flyers earned Voyager Miles, which is SAA’s customer loyalty programme.
