Addis Ababa – based, Ethiopian Airlines, has on 10 July, operated its first scheduled flight to Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi.

ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES HANOI FLIGHT
The airline, which operates the largest network in Africa, will operate four rotations per week on this route.
The service will be operated with a Boeing 787 aircraft. This is indeed the first time Ethiopian has flown to the Vietnamese capital.
That said, Hanoi becomes Ethiopian Airlines’ 28th destination in Asia.
In fact, this route marks a significant milestone in strengthening air connectivity between Africa and Southeast Asia.
The service is expected to promote trade, tourism and people-to-people relations between Ethiopia and Vietnam, Ethiopian Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said.
Ethiopian Airlines is certainly one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines. This new route is indeed set to enhance Ethiopian Airlines’ global connectivity and provide convenient travel options for passengers travelling between Africa and Southeast Asia.
Furthermore, Ethiopian Airlines is in discussions with Vietnam Airlines regarding cooperation and future network expansion opportunities.
LARGEST AFRICAN AIRLINE
Ethiopian Airlines was established in 1946 and has since grown to become Africa’s largest and most profitable airline.
The airline has a fleet consisting of more than 140 aircraft, including next-generation Airbus A350s and Boeing B787s.
The carrier operates passenger and cargo services to domestic and global destinations. It is also a member of the Star Alliance group of airlines.
