Fastjet Zimbabwe has made another step forward on its journey towards enhanced sustainability with the introduction of environmentally friendly branded beverage cups for its in-flight service.
FASTJET ZIMBABWE ‘S SUSTAINABLE CUPS
Made from non-plastic materials, the new beverage cups are designed to embody the beauty and wonders of Zimbabwe.
The new environmentally friendly cups will be used for the service of both hot and cold in-flight beverages.
The carrier has indeed had the reusable cups on trial for a number of weeks, ensuring all critical performance checks are completed.
Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana said, “More than an environmental contribution, as a key player in the tourism industry, these cups are a celebration of the beauty and wonders of Zimbabwe. We are proud to operate regional flights to Zimbabwe, connecting visitors to beautiful Zimbabwe, be it flying to Bulawayo, Harare and Victoria Falls”.
The airline is making determined efforts toward becoming one of Africa’s most sustainable airline operators.
Last year the airline shifted to only serving locally produced coffee on flights. It also teamed up with a recycling initiative, to dispose of cabin waste.
