CAPE TOWN MAURITIUS FLIGHTS FOR SAA

The inaugural flight (SA 194) took off from Cape Town on Tuesday 9 December.

The airline announced in July that it would introduce a seasonal service between Cape Town and the popular Indian Ocean island.

The airline will offer up to three scheduled services per week on the route. Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during the high season.

The route is operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, offering business and economy class cabins.

This is the first time SAA is operating flights between Cape Town and Mauritius. The airline does however offer year-round services to the island of Mauritius from its Johannesburg hub.

Air Mauritius has previously operated flights between Cape Town and Mauritius. However, the service is no longer operational. The Indian Ocean based airline does operate daily flights to Johannesburg.

FlySafair also offers scheduled services between Johannesburg and Mauritius. The low cost airline offers several frequencies per week on this route.
